"People need to be reminded more often than they need to be instructed." – Dr Samuel Johnson

Organizations have people problems . . . and leaders need advisors who understand people.
Most therapists limit the use of their skills and knowledge to helping individuals, couples, and families within the behavioral health care system. Why? People problems are not limited to those willing to "go to a shrink." Many therapists have the experience and skills to help leaders and groups outside of the healthcare system but few in fact do provide this help. Many have never thought about applying their skills in a different way. Some minimize their value and don't have the confidence to proceed. Most who have considered working "beyond the couch", I think, need answers to some basic questions to turn their ideas into action. How do I approach a leader? How do I figure out what they need? How much can I/should I charge? How can I help?
If you are a professional experienced in working with human systems and are interested in doing more than clinical work, if you would like to have a break from dealing with insurance and paperwork, if you would like to work with clients that are not in crisis . . . then learning how to be a consultant might be a good fit for you.
Since 2005 we have trained hundreds of therapists how to act as consultants to leaders and organizations--turning their ideas into paid contracts. We can help you secure your first consulting job, build a new brand and line of service, or just up-grade your knowledge and skills?
If you have, or want to develop, an idea, on how to use your skills and get away from insurance payments, we can help you learn how to get consulting work, create proposals that will get funded, create fair and equitable fees, and learn about the tools to be successful.
We love to help therapists develop their ideas . . . if you want to talk over your idea (it's free and you will never get a sales pitch!) then contact us here . . . or
